    “Medical director” means a physician, licensed to practice medicine in Oklahoma, who assumes responsibility for the administration of all medical services performed by an OTP, either by performing them directly or by delegating specific responsibility to authorized program physicians and healthcare professionals functioning under the medical director's direct supervision, unless otherwise indicated in this chapter. This includes ensuring the program is in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding the medical treatment of dependence on an opioid drug. see full law

    (a) The OTP shall have written policy and procedure requiring the medical director be present, on site for two hours each week during normal dispensing hours for every one hundred (100) active patients in an OTP. In this instance, a designee cannot substitute for the medical director. see full law
