    A clinical nurse specialist, certified nurse mid-wife, or certified nurse practitioner who holds a current, valid certificate to prescribe issued by the board may personally furnish to a patient a drug or therapeutic device, whether as a sample drug or a complete or partial supply, only if the following requirements are met: see full law

    In accordance with Chapter 119. of the Revised Code, the board of nursing shall adopt rules as necessary to implement the provisions of this chapter pertaining to the authority of advanced practice registered nurses who are designated as clinical nurse specialists, certified nurse-midwives, and certified nurse practitioners to prescribe and furnish drugs and therapeutic devices. see full law
