    D.           practitioners - includes a physician, doctor of oriental medicine, dentist, physician assistant, certified nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, certified nurse-midwife, veterinarian, pharmacist, pharmacist clinician, certified registered nurse anesthetists, psychologists, chiropractic examiner, euthanasia technicians or other person licensed or certified to prescribe and administer drugs that are subject to the Controlled Substances Act.  Practitioners, excluding veterinarians, must register with the New Mexico prescription monitoring program in conjunction with their controlled substance registration. see full law
