    (a) One person who is both:          (1) Licensed or certified as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor pursuant to chapter 641C of NRS, or the intern of such a counselor; and          (2) A mental health professional, or the intern of such a professional, who is licensed as a psychologist pursuant to chapter 641 of NRS, a marriage and family therapist pursuant to chapter 641A of NRS or a clinical social worker pursuant to chapter 641B of NRS, or who is a medical physician with a certification in addiction medicine from a nationally accepted board; or see full law

    “Medical director” means a physician who is licensed to practice medicine in this State and who is responsible for the administration of all medical services at a facility for treatment with narcotics or a medication unit and for ensuring that the facility or the medication unit complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. see full law
